Welcome to the City of West Sacramento Fire Department’s website. As a lifetime resident of our community, it is an honor and a privilege to serve as your Fire Chief.

The West Sacramento Fire Department is an all-risk, all-hazard, Class 1 department, that consists of dedicated professionals who have a proud history of serving their residents, businesses, and visitors. The fire department responds to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, water rescue incidents, hazardous material incidents, and any other incident we are requested to assist with. We also provide outstanding non-emergency services such as public education, fire and life safety inspections, fire investigations, community risk reduction, and many other administrative functions. Additionally, we have a highly involved Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteer group. Regardless of your needs, our firefighters, fire inspectors and administrative staff stand ready to serve.

The West Sacramento Fire Department is committed to providing extraordinary service through prevention, preparedness, and emergency response. The men and women of the fire department are the core of our operation. They are compassionate professionals who are highly trained, solution-oriented, and strive to exceed expectations at all times. I am extremely humbled and honored to work with so many dedicated and hardworking individuals and it is through their daily efforts that we are able to provide exceptional service to the public.
